The Great Indian Novel is basically a narration of the Indian independent struggle (in a satirical way) cast into the theme of Mahabharata! Sounds strange! But the way Mr. Tharoor has narrated the story -cast... Very funny, very clever, scathing and intricate, this irreverent mash-up of the Mahabharata with the Indian Independence Movement may not be the Great Indian Novel, but it's certainly a great Indian novel.
