I really enjoyed the story!! I read Rebecca last year and i fell in love with this authors writing. This novel did not disappoint. Rachel was a great character. Was she the villain? Was she the victim? Do I root for her or against her? This book kept me guessing until the very end. Bravo . Did she or didnt she? That is the question that will keep readers on the edge of their seat until the final twists on the very last pages. Phillip Ashley was orphaned at a young age and raised in 19C Cornwall by his older cousin Ambrose. Health issues force Ambrose to spend time in warmer climates and he meets and marries a distant... A great mystery read with very much the classic feel to it. Very glad to have read it. My deduction of the star comes only from maybe being a little slow of pace, although honestly, it did fit the telling of the story pretty well. Worth the read if you are into mysteries.
