This story sounded interesting and was recommended as a great read, so I gave it a try. I have to say I was a little disappointed. Not that the concept wasn't a good one, I just wish the characters were fleshed out a little more to give some depth to the story. I wanted to like Elinore and Cole, I just felt they developed in a way I... I thought this was cute story. Elinor Prescott has returned to her dying grandfather's antebellum mansion in the Southern, the one her father always tried to prove himself worthy of. The beautiful mansion is a near-ruin and she can't afford to restore it. Her grandfather leaves it to her to find a buyer. Cole Whittier is a famous local... i was very conflicted with this book. I wanted to love this book, but i think it clearly needs a lot of work.. I apologize in advance if i hurt anyone feelings.i read this book because it was a Christmas pick for me challenge.. i am glad i got it off my to read listI think that a lot of my issues with this book deals with characterization...
