I was unfamliar with most of the texts he crticized which made it a difficult read. I can't imagine what it would have been like to be in the audience for these lectures, especially for the first one. i want to give it five stars because five stars means "it was amazing" but "amazing" wouldn't be a compliment it would be in the obsolete form of its meaning: astonishing, disconcerting, unsettling.
